Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MailFrame (the "Service"). By installing or using MailFrame, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What MailFrame is

MailFrame is a browser extension that adds AI-powered assistance to Gmail — on-demand thread summaries, priority indicators, a focus reader, order and document extraction, and a daily brief. It runs inside your browser and works on the email you choose to act on.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You need a Google account to use MailFrame with Gmail, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account and subscription key.

3. Plans and billing

• Free — $0/month.
• Pro — $12/month.
• Business — $79/month.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Each plan includes the monthly usage limits described on our pricing page. We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable advance notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime by emailing support@mailframe.org. When you cancel, your paid plan stays active through the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we don't provide prorated refunds for partial months.

5. Acceptable use

When using MailFrame, you agree not to:

• resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or your subscription key;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or security measures;
• use the Service to violate any law, infringe others' rights, or process content you don't have the right to access;
• access the Service through automated means except as we expressly permit.

6. Your email and data

MailFrame processes the email thread you are viewing only when you ask it to (for example, when you press S or trigger an extraction). Your email content is not stored after the result is generated. We keep only what's needed to run your subscription — your account email, subscription key, and usage counts. For full details, see our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

MailFrame and its software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You keep all rights to your own email and content.

8. AI output and disclaimers

MailFrame uses AI to generate summaries and extract information. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate, so you should verify anything important before relying on it. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MailFrame and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Operator and governing law

The Service is operated by MailFrame, an independent product run by its founder. We intend to transition operation of the Service to a formal company entity in the future; if and when that happens, we'll update these Terms to name that entity. For any questions about who operates the Service, contact support@mailframe.org.

The governing law and venue for these Terms will be the jurisdiction in which the Service's operator is established. (Governing-law jurisdiction to be confirmed with counsel before launch.)
